Cadwell Park – Rounds 1 & 2
|
Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd May 2022 So this is it. The first meeting of a long awaited and much anticipated season – and the start to our first without any restrictions for three years! You should have received a bulletin at the weekend that provided advance information about the event, some of which is repeated here. Please make sure you are fully aware of the details and please read the following important Final Instructions. Please click the links below to download the following documents: FINAL INSTRUCTIONS OVERALL SITE PLAN
CLASSES Please be aware that because of the low numbers in some of the classes, there is still a chance that these will be amalgamated between now and Sunday. Any changes will be notified in an official bulletin. PAYMENTS Some drivers are still to pay their entry fee. If the money has not been received by close of business (5.00pm) on Friday, the entry will be withdrawn. TICKETS You will shortly receive your tickets via the MSV Print @ Home system. If not, please check your junk folder and if they have not landed there, please let me know. PLEASE NOTE: Your competitor tickets are valid for Sunday and Monday. YOU DO NOT NEED TWO TICKETS! If additional tickets are required, these can be purchased online before 4.00pm on Thursday 28th April, here: We have arranged a 20% discount with MSV exclusively for competitors. Please use code: TA22CP. ARRIVAL & PADDOCK ACCESS There are no pit garages at Cadwell Park. Therefore, all teams will be located outside in the paddock. A plan will be provided with the Final Instructions. If you’re not taking part in the open track day on Saturday, access to the paddock will be available from 6.00pm on Saturday and from 7.00am on Sunday. Please remember to allow extra journey time getting to the circuit on Monday, as there will be queuing traffic entering the show. Trailers and private cars that are not being used as support vehicles must be moved to the area marked on the plan at the top of the paddock. If not, you WILL be fined. Please note the whole of the site is being used. There are no spare areas whatsoever as the show takes up the whole of the field opposite the paddock. SIGNING-ON AND SCRUTINEERING Signing on will be carried out from 7.00am on Sunday in the paddock office. Please bring your competition licence with you for checking. Scrutineering will take place from 6.00pm – 7.00pm on Saturday evening and from 7.00am on Sunday in the scrutineering bay, located in the lower paddock. Please bring your racewear and helmet and make sure your championship decals are in place. If you are missing any stickers or competition numbers, these can be collected from the paddock office when you sign on. DRIVERS BRIEFING As you will see from the timetable, we will have a face-to-face drives briefing in the Clubhouse restaurant at 08.15 on Sunday morning. All drivers must attend. For those running on Monday only, please report to the paddock office at 09.00am. TRANSPONDERS If you are hiring a transponder, please bring £15 cash. If you are using your own, please let us have your number. MARSHALS’ HOT LAPS With restrictions now lifted and to thank the marshals for what they do, we would like to return to providing them rides during the lunch break. We are therefore looking for volunteers to complete three laps of the circuit each day. If have a passenger seat and belts fitted and would be happy to do this, please let me know. Thanks for your support. WHATSAPP GROUP For those of you who are new to the championship this weekend, look out for an invitation to join the 2022 Time Attack What’s App Group. This is how we will communicate important information. Therefore, whilst the event is in progress this is a receive-only feature and NOT a chat room. MEDIA If you don’t already carry an in-car camera, the media team will be fitting them to a number of cars. The mountings must be approved by the scrutineers. To allow your ‘hero’ footage to be easily found for editing and broadcasting on the day, please signal when youare about to embark on a ‘hot lap’ so the producer can easily see which piece of video to extract. Further details will be explained on the day. Whilst he may not be at Cadwell, Ben Collins (former Stig) and other guest presenters will be working with us this year as part of the media team. Therefore, be prepared to be interviewed. Don’t forget, always be positive, look smart and ‘big-up’ Time Attack!!! CAMPING On-site overnight stays the night before the event are permitted for competitors and team members. Toilet and shower facilities will be open. Please keep a look out for any further information between now and the weekend. I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your preparations and look forward to seeing you there!
All the best
