Brand Hatch bekons!
We are pleased to announce details of the fourth round of our revised 2020 season at Brands Hatch on 13th September. With our June event unable to take place, the forthcoming meeting becomes this season’s one and only visit to the circuit we regard as the home of UK Time Attack.
Consequently, we have combined the two supporting shows. Therefore, our mid-summer Tunerfest South will be held alongside the first running of Go Japan!, an event designed to celebrate the cars and the culture of a country that has for many years been at the forefront of tuning culture.
To mark the occasion, two races specifically for Japanese cars will take place on the day. Entries for the Tegiwa Challenge are invited from all owners of Japanese cars that comply to Motorsport UK regulations for racing (section J). Further details can be found in section 20 of the Event Supplementary Regulations, which can be downloaded below together with an entry form.
Because of the current global situation, the show has had to be reimagined in order to correspond with practices and procedures. However, as we are wone of the only promoters to be holding cars shows, competitors can expect an enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
As has been the case for our previous three rounds, due to the current national restrictions and guidelines in place, the event will look and feel a little different than before, with a series of safeguarding measures, practices and procedures being followed. Consequently, the public will not have access to the pits and paddock and competitors and conversely, competitors and teams will not have access to the show and public areas.
Once again, there will be no on-the-day scrutineering, signing-on or drivers’ briefing. This will be carried out remotely and require the filling in of a self-declaration form that will be forwarded to registered competitors in due course.
Further information about the control and mitigation of risk surrounding Covid-19 can be found in section 19 of the Event Supplementary Regulations that can be downloaded below.
All competitors who are registered for the season, have entered this meeting on a single-round basis or as a Run What You Brung competitor, will automatically receive further details of the Covid-19 safeguarding guidelines, Final Instructions and further information relating to this event.
For those that haven’t entered and are intending to join us, we invite you to do so ASAP. Because of the restrictions in place and the new procedures that are having to be adopted, entries received after 9th September WILL NOT be accepted.
Please find a series of links below, from which you can download the relevant documentation and further details about the event, including Championship, RWYB and Tegiwa Challenge entry forms.
